AUSTIN, TX - This was where I stopped working the phones and email and decided that I needed to be on the ground. On August 30th the Tarot Killer struck again, this time under the Congress Avenue bridge in Austin, TX. (Hmmm, just shy of one month later, but in the same month...do these dates mean something? Must investigate this angle.) So I headed to Southwest Texas to see what I could dig up. The trail was cold, but considering that I know we are looking at the work of a serial killer and the local po po seem not to have put one and one and one and one together, maybe I would see things they didn't. From what I saw and what I could get out of the local news reports and PD, the blood was so much that there's a possibility of multiple victims. That and enough feathers to fill a pillow and bones from at least 4 different birds. What kind of a sick fuck is this guy?
Once again I seem to be the only one in the know. Why's that, you ask? The scene was covered with bat guano. Yup, bat crap. What does this mean? Well, it means the killer's MO is changing. The only way bat poop would have made it into the blood at the scene was if the murder had been committed in the daytime, because the Congress Avenue bats leave their homes in the evenings to hunt.
Seriously, how good am I? You love me right now, don't you? Don't worry, faithful readers, I'm on the case and I will not stop until the evil is wiped out, you have Eddie Pope's word!
