Cheese, Trees and the Keys To Catching the Tarot Killer

All along, we've known that serial killers have patters of behavior and the Tarot Killer is no different. For five months he slaughtered an innocent (not to mention dozens of innocent doves) during a new moon, took the body and left the blood. Since September 29th in Chapel Hill, no further murder scenes have been discovered but that doesn't mean no other murders have taken place! It's extraordinarily rare for serial killers to simply stop killing, so while we may not have discovered any more murder sites, don't think for a second that the TK is done with his devilish plans!

His first five murders coincided with the locations where the five Old Sentries either went missing or were killed and then, in November the Tarot Killer began spending time near Indian mounds and his visits have deviated from the new moon pattern of the previous months. Is there a connection between his cross country murder rampage and his more low-key Indian mound visitations?

Is it possible that he was visiting mounds in other parts of the country prior to Atlanta, but that he just wasn't on the "radar" yet? Then again, just because the fiend kills on new moons doesn't mean he's not active at other times. Look no further than at how Chixor barely escaped being a victim by only a few scant hours!

While the artifact hunting/rituals the TK seems to be doing during his "down time" between murders, appears to be a new wrinkle to this tale, maybe there is indeed a connection. Biff, the retriever of the Mt. Gilead, North Carolina artifacts told The Tattles that while he wasn't sure how the artifacts came to be hidden at the Mt. Gilead mound, he was quite certain that the original owner was Old Sentry Alan Camacho, who Biff says "was brutally murdered over a year ago in Austin, TX."

There you have it, friends...are the artifacts all connected to Sentries? It would make sense that they are, but if so, what then? While I an still certain the TK is out there butchering the helpless, these new developments do make me wonder as to what else the bastard is doing.

And seriously, what's with the pies? I mean, strawberry-rhubarb, pumpkin, sweet potato, all legitimate pies, but Hoosier sugar cream pie? Blech.

While there are similarities here, it's hard to discern a real pattern or at least one that can predict the TK's movement far enough in advance. Could we trap him with a singing tree stump, a box full of old crap and a really nice apple pie with Cheshire cheese? It sounds nice, but I doubt it. There's something missing and we can only hope to figure it out and stop this madman's spree!

Stay frosty, my friends and remember, Ol' Eddie will always have your back! eddie@popetattles.com
