Remember back in Tattles issue #4 when this reporter received a tip that someone named Peter was sending someone named Art after yours truly? Well, apparently he's still staking out the Tattles HQ. After returning from a trip to the local spy store (stocking up on listening devices and the like) an unpaid intern staffer noticed a monkey-shit brown Oldsmobuick parked across the street with a rather creepy looking homunculus in the front seat. As it turns out Tattles HQ is under surveillance by a guy who looks like the sort of missing link that lives in dark alleys. But don't worry, gentle readers, Eddie cannot be intimidated, even by the scariest, knuckle-dragging thugs!

Not only that, but I have discovered the source of that first warning. It seems that Art has a secret page on his site containing clues that have apparently been used by the Sentries to find the various cache of objects that he has apparently hidden around the country.

The question is why?

Why is Art luring these young people to places where he knows the killer will be? This has happened far too many times to be a coincidence and can only be part of a larger plan. Is "Art" (assuming that's really his name) in league with the killer? Is he the killer himself? Serial killer pairs do happen, usually with one masterminding the crimes and one carrying them out which would fit this situation, perfectly. Art maintains a website with intricate and clever riddles, leading people into the wilderness, something the gibbering, mumbling, blood-spattered, pie-eating loony spotted at the scenes hardly seems capable of doing.

Perhaps Art is the dominant one, keeping a website and luring people out to these remote areas with the promise of some of their dead friends' possessions and then the TK waits for them there. It's a miracle none of those searching for the caches have been killed. Then again, maybe they have. We have no way of knowing how many people deciphered Art's clues and how many people made it to the points. We only know about the ones that returned.

It's clear that Art is deeply involved, here and it's looking more and more like he's trying to get people killed. After all, Peter sent him after this reporter when I started digging around about Chorazos. Come to think of it, we haven't heard much from them. We know they're a techno cult, so assuming the Peter who sent Art after a certain reporter is the same as the Peter Severn, CEO of Forsythe Security. We know they're a high tech company dealing with cyber crime. It's not a huge leap to tie Severn, Art, the TK and Chorazos into one, big ball of evil.

Help me whack that evil with a bat, dump it in a sack and throw it into the great big river of justice, won't you?

Yours in Light,
Eddie
