So another cache was found, this time in Cahokia, IL, just across the river from St. Louis and once again, your old pal Eddie missed out but managed to cobble together information from various sources. Another Indian mound and another collection of a dead Sentry's junk....the thing is, this time it's not a Sentry, just some poor schmuck that was killed by a pickle. That said, there was a gherkin in the cache and the directions to the site were in a file called "tostu.html" so Stu clearly has some sort of a post-mortem role to play in this sick game being played by Art and the Tarot Killer.
Fortunately, one of those brave and dedicated souls, the Sentries was in the neighborhood, going by the name of Wolfhawk and she managed to pick up the cache and contacted me just as the issue was going to press. She made it clear that the caches were not "treasure," but instead were the " tangible reminder of the murder of an individual" and that she would do anything to "bring their killer to justice." I couldn't agree more, as the fiends responsible for murders past and present must face the true light of justice. However, if my suspicions are correct, and this is a tag team effort by Sentries Bryce Droher and Art Lydney, will she stand up to her word?
While yours truly wasn't in the area, a tipster out there did write in to tell us that Dr. Riley's "sound scout" Lillian was there recording and witnessed someone that could only have been the Tarot Killer performing one of his rituals. "As I approached the Point I saw this guy lifting his arms into the air," Lillian told the Tattles, continuing, "It looked pretty strange. Then as I got closer I heard him making noises. He seemed to be directing his noises directly at the 'H' Point. I quickly set up and started recording. My only regret is that I didn't arrive even earlier. I wish I had been able to record the entire ritual or whatever that guy was doing."
During her latest podcast, Dr. Riley actually identified the gibberish he was mumbling as Mayan and translated it as "dead friend." Interesting. Bryce Droher had several friends killed among the dead Old Sentries and Art Lydney could definitely work with him as a serial killing pair. The controller and the controlled.... Now if that was indeed Bryce that I recorded in that hotel room....Well, let's just say this is all starting to make sense. Art is the brain and Bryce is the gibbering maniac with the long knife and pie fetish.
At press time there was some serious concern that Wolfhawk, the Sentry who picked up the cash, has met with her end. Repeated attempts at communicating with her have proved fruitless and there is rising fear here at Tattle HQ that she's met her fate at the hands of the killer. This game being played by Art and Bryce is getting more and more deadly!
But fear not, friend! Eddie's on the case and good will triumph over evil, don't fret!
