By now everyone probably knows that the TK (aka Bryce Droher) and someone who is likely Art made appearances at the same place only hours apart, last week and that it was back at our old stomping grounds, the Etowah Mounds outside of Atlanta. Art pulled a metal cylinder out of the ground, the TK got a medallion, the Sentries got another box of someone's stuff and I got a nasty rip in my coat. Oh and the TK scared the bejeebus outta me. At least this time I managed not to wet myself, so I have going for me.
Thanks to Sentry Transtar, we now know the cache contained a working clock (aka, a Book of Time), set to Pacific Time, a tarot card (The Moon) and of all things, a cd called "The Music Never Stopped: Roots of the Grateful Dead." Wonder if this means Art is a hippy.... But I digress. There were two marked differences between this cache and the first Etowah box, notably the inclusion of a tarot card and sploogy handprint. Honestly, I am not sure why. As for your request for a more precise location Transtar, alas, I can't give it to you. I was following Art and due to his rather scattered retreat, I lost track of where we were. Either way, Art (assuming it was, and I'm pretty sure) took the cylinder with him.
It seems that there was a veritable convention of the spookily-inclined at Etowah, as those of you who've listed to Lizzie Riley's latest podcast are well aware of. It seems Sound Scout Lillian was out there and this time she was confronted by who I believe to be the TK's "controller," Art. She's very lucky to have escaped, I think. She spotted Art hiding the cache, confirming my long-held suspicions that Art is the one hiding all of these boxes. In addition, Lillian was able to see (and hear) some things I missed. It happens when one is concentrating on the visual... While the TK was performing that odd ritual, she heard what she describes as a Whooshing sound. I must confess that I completely missed the whosh, but then again, the blood pounding in my ears pretty much prevented me from hearing anything.
So this makes this two weeks in a row that She, the TK and I have been together at one of Prof. Riley's "points." Maybe she has a crush on a certain reporter or maybe we should get t-shirts made. "TK World Tour, 2008?" We could put a half-eaten pie and a hunting knife on the front... Ok, maybe not....
